Overview

The iDCS 500 Misc Card adds the following functionality to the iDCS 500 telephone system:

• 2 external music/audio inputs
• 1 external paging audio output*
• 1 loud bell audio tone output
• 1 common bell relay contact closure
• 2 software assignable relay contact closures

The relay contact closures can be used for controlling page zones or for miscellaneous remote control applications, e.g., switching the coffee maker on and off.

All connections are made via two RJ-45 connectors.

*Two page zones are supported by using the external paging output and the relay contact closures in conjunction with a Powered Relay Module DPDT and an amplifier or other equipment that supports multiple page zones. Please contact Telephone Central sales for engineering assistance when multiple page zones are required.

Requirements

• One of the following:

  • iDCS 500 Main Cabinet) with daughterboard slot D3 available

  • SCP2 card (included in the iDCS 500 Expansion Kit) with daughterboard slot D2 available

  • LCP2 card (included in the iDCS 500 Expansion Cabinet) with daughterboard slot D2 available

• Maximum of one Misc Card per cabinet

• Maximum of three Misc Cards per system

• Two 4 Pair Station Cables
  -or-
  One 4 Pair Station Cable cut in half

• Powered Relay Module DPDT is required when using two paging zones
