Overview

The Switch and Conference Module (SCM) increases the number of conference bridges in the system from 6 to 24. It also adds 12 DSPs for DTMF and tone detection. These DSPs are required when there are more than one of the iDCS Analog Station Cards installed in the system.

Requirements

For a single cabinet system:

  • MCP2 card (included in the iDCS 500 Main Cabinet) with daughterboard slot D1 available

  • Maximum 1 SCM per system

For multi cabinet systems:

  • SCP2 card (included in the iDCS 500 Expansion Kit) with any daughterboard slot available

  • Maximum 1 SCM per system
