Overview
8 channel Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) media gateway interface
daughter board that works in conjunction with the
following cards to increase the total gateway channels on the card to 16:
Each channel can be assigned to support either:
- Samsung IP stations
- Samsung IP QSIG networking trunks for interconnecting whole systems
- SIP trunks
- H.323 trunks
When used in the Samsung IP QSIG mode, multiple telephone systems
can be networked together to form one large virtual system. Features supported
across the network include central site shared voicemail with soft-key
support, busy light status and roughly 95% feature transparency between
systems.
Channels are only in use when a connection is made between an IP
device and a traditional TDM device. When two IP devices are communicating, no
channels are in use.
